Integrative health in Evaux-les-Bains: our 1st mission of support!
Communal buildings to be rehabilitated, elected officials sensitive to the subject of health, a spa and its director who firmly believe that an integrative approach can bring a lot to the curists, a Laboratory which uses the thermal water of Evaux to manufacture its cosmetics and for which ''Health is everything''. They all want to create an innovative and unifying place in their territory: an integrative health center.
The integrative health center project
The SEM Thermes d'Evaux-les-Bains, supported by the OLISMA Laboratory (buyer of the Evaux Laboratories company), has therefore decided to create, with the stakeholders of the territory, an integrative health center (pilot-demonstration project) to :
- To include Evaux les Bains in a One Health perspective with the spa and the other health actors of the territory.
- Promote a dynamic of health tourism
This project could be located on a 600 m2 communal property, near the spa, unfinished and unoccupied to date.
Various activities of sensitization, education to health and care could be proposed there in complement of the thermal cure. Particular emphasis will be placed on phyto-aromatherapy and thermal cosmetic practices.
The target of this care, support and prevention offer will also be extended to non-tourists (local residents in particular, but also patients and residents in health and medico-social establishments, health professionals, etc.)
The center is a project ofsocial and territorial innovation in health that will result in an innovative pilot demonstration site in a building that respects the environment through its construction principles and materials and its operation.
The support of Allié Santé
Support in 3 phases:
- Phase 1: Analysis of needs, resources and context
- Phase 2: Co-construction of the center's areas of activity
- Phase 3: Synthesis and modeling of the project
Allié Santé is very pleased to conduct this study: listening to the needs through targeted interviews, collective meetings with health professionals, therapists, economic actors, teachers, associations and citizens.
The 1st COPIL took place last November and brought together 20 members: local and departmental elected officials, the Region, innovation and territorial development players, health players and companies. Inhabitants, teachers, tourism professionals, environmental and animal health stakeholders will also be involved.

What better way to identify the needs of the territory if not to meet the inhabitants of Evaux-les Bains. This is what we did last December by setting up an information stand at the Christmas market. The ideal place to speak with Evahoniens about the project of a place of integrative health on their commune. The exchanges were numerous and in a warm atmosphere despite the negative temperatures outside!

The territory and the thermal baths
Evaux-les-Bains, a spa town selected for the Small Town of Tomorrow program, is located at the eastern end of the Creuse department and in the New Aquitaine region.
The town had 1360 inhabitants on January 1st 2022 and welcomes around 4000 curists per year. The commune of Evaux-les-Bains is the county seat of the canton and has 2 unfinished buildings near the thermal baths, in a protected natural area.
Concerning the thermal activity, Evaux-les-Bains is the only thermal station of the ex-Limousin region. The station gathers 3 therapeutic orientations: rheumatology, phlebology and gynecology. It welcomes annually more than 4000 curists. It is an activity that cannot be relocated, creating jobs and induced activities.
